A Client Insight
I worked with a client who was well into her 70s.
She had started a newsletter and while she was excited by it, the whole process was leaving her feeling stressed and burnt out.
New technologies, deadlines, doubts about the quality of her work, possible rejection from putting herself out there.
In our session, she uncovered a memory from her childhood. She was 3 years old and had spent a significant amount of time (for a three-year-old) working on a piece of art. She was proud of it, yet her mother walked in, told her it was not good enough, then left.
Together we changed some beliefs about self-worth, forgiveness and being enough.
She forgave her mother and released all the blocked emotions she was feeling.
She had been holding onto that negative belief programming for 75 years. Now she was free of her fear of "not being good enough", meaning she was able to leave her perfectionism at the door and get down to writing.
What was once hard became easy. What was stressful became fun.
Her newsletter is slowly growing, and she is improving as a writer every single day without self-judgment or stress.
All this change took place in a 40-minute session. 75 years of limiting beliefs gone in under an hour.
